New colleagues
In the second year of our second funding period, we are able to welcome many new faces in our SFB 1313 team. We wish all of you a good start and much success!. >>> More information
Doctoral Researchers Workshop
The doctoral researchers planned their SFB 1313 summer school during the Doctoral Researchers Workshop. The groups who will work together have defined their topics and will work out more details in the next few weeks.
Best Question Award
Our guest Kathleen Smits from the Southern Methodist University and our principal investigator Bernd Flemisch both won the "Best Question Award" of the SFB 1313 status seminar 2023 during the poster sessions, for asking the best questions to the doctoral researchers. Congratulations!
Public Engagement Award
One novelty of SFB 1313's second funding period is the "Public Engagement Award", endowed with 1000 euros. This prize is awarded to researchers for their outstanding contribution to SFB 1313 science communication. The management team decided to acknowledge two researchers for their public engagement:
- Former SFB 1313 doctoral researcher Elissa Eggenweiler (research project A03), now SFB 1313 associated researcher, for her constribution during the first funding period of the Collaborative Research Center.
- Julian Härter (research project A06) for his contribution in 2022
Congratulations to both of them!
It is good to know that after serious porous media work, there is also always time for fun. Speacial thanks goes to our SFB 1313 guest and partner Matthijs de Winter and his choir for composing and performing the "SFBeer Song".
Verry special thanks go to Katharina Heck and Beate Spinner for organising the status seminar 2023 and to our spokesman Rainer Helmig and the whole team for being able to create such a great working environment and team spirit! We're looking forward to all meet again in 2024.
