The Girls' Day is a nationwide event with the aim of promoting the interest of schoolgirls in science and technology. This year it will take place on March 26, 2020. Once again a wide range of institutions will take part with interesting activities relating to research and experimenting. The Girls' Day gives the possibility to get an insight into the field of natural sciences and engineering, as well as the opportunity to become active themselves.
This year, the world of porous media can be explored within the field of computer science. Coding is one of the main basic tools to research porous media. To learn the basics in coding, SFB 1313 offers together with SFB-TRR 161 the following coding workshop:

Do you want to write your own programs that do exactly what you want? We will give you the necessary jump-start. In our workshop you can program your own screensaver. As colourful as you want! Should the pictures move? Here you can try it out and implement it. Of course you can take your screensaver home and share it with others. Or make it even more beautiful at home ...
